LUXURY TRAVEL TO DENMARK

EGESKOV CASTLE

WHERE DESIGN, COMFORT & CUISINE REIGN SUPREME

No matter where you travel in Denmark, you’re bound to discover the true meaning of hygge. This concept is a key part of Danish culture, and focuses on feelings of coziness and contentment. But this incredible country inspires more than happiness and relaxation—it’s also served as inspiration for many notorious creatives, from Walt Disney to Shakespeare to Hans Christian Andersen. A luxury travel experience to Denmark will ignite your imagination and inspire you for years to come.

If you’re traveling with little ones (and even if you’re not), spend a day at the Viking Ship Museum, where five 1,000 year-old ships will transport you back in time. For summertime visits, explore Tivoli Gardens, the amusement park that Disneyland is modeled after. Pause for pictures of the world-famous Little Mermaid statue, and—for a true taste of Denmark—travel via bicycle, making a stop for pølser at one of the many hotdog stands found in cities like Copenhagen. To experience a different side of the capital city, head to Freetown Christiania. This commune/neighborhood is known as “hippie paradise,” and draws visitors in with its beautifully graffitied buildings, underground vibe, and cannabis-centric culture—including The Green Light District (or Pusher Street, to locals) where you can shop a variety of strains sold in open stalls while walking the quaint cobbled street.

Other must-dos include a trip to Kronborg Castle at Helsingør (a.k.a Elsinore), the home of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and a trip to the lush green Faroe Islands. Design enthusiasts will want to spend time shopping at the many boutiques that highlight Denmark’s iconic, streamlined aesthetic. And foodies should ready themselves for all kinds of culinary delights, from elegant 20-course meals at Michelin starred restaurants like Noma (named the best restaurant in the world in 2018) to lavish smorrebrøds, to unique cheeses found at shops that have an equally unique aroma. And of course, there are plenty of places where you can hoist a pint of Carlsberg and say, “Skål!,” or find out why Danish wine is growing in popularity.

There’s so much to see and do in this unique, vibrant country, but planning your vacation doesn’t have to be a hassle. When you work with us to design your custom getaway, all you have to do is (Den)mark your calendar and pack your bags! Let’s get started on your luxury travel planning to Denmark today.
